Ready to Start Living a Sustainable Lifestyle?
If you're ready to start today, we will send you 7 emails over 7 days with simple steps you can take immediately.
Call it fate. Call it what you will. Something has brought you here. It’s my guess that what TRULY brought you here was YOU. You’ve heard something calling to you too. Perhaps it sounded something like this, “Stop! You’re better than this. You don’t have to keep doing things this way.” Regardless of what brought you here or what voices you may have heard, the fact remains that you are here because you are ready to learn how to live a sustainable lifestyle. You are ready to start living a sustainable lifestyle. A lifestyle that you can feel pride in rather than shame. Are you up for the challenge?
There are those out there that might seek to shame you for your past choices. Worse yet, there some people that would be happy to tell you that whatever you're doing is STILL NOT ENOUGH. While it is important to always strive to do more and improve, we should recognize that it is MORE important to encourage someone who is trying to "go green" rather than to ridicule them. Are we looking to make friends, or enemies? Beat the haters with love!
The term "denier" has become a household term lately. Despite mounds of scientific evidence, some people and institutions cling to the belief that we are not having an impact on our planet's climate. If you're here and you're a denier, please see the section above on shame. We will not shame you. Actually, you deserve our praise for being open-minded enough to have visited this site. So, thank you!
Denier or not, everyone can understand the term "waste." I'm not referring to the receipt that fell out of your pocket and blew away. I'm talking about the amount of food we scrape into the garbage can, how often we visit the gas pump, and even the food we buy that could easily be grown in your own yard or neighborhood.
It is easy to become overwhelmed when you think about such large scale problems. There's an expression (that I can't stand) but is commonly used in this situation, "How do you eat an elephant?" Do you know the answer? Of course someone like me thinks the first response should be, "DON'T EAT ELEPHANTS, FOOL!" Seriously, though. The answer is "one bite at a time." Let's not allow ourselves to be defeated by the shear size of the problem. We want you to feel comfortable taking small bites so you can see how easy it can be to start making meaningful changes.
In honor of small bite-sized steps, we have created a 7-day challenge for you to consider to help you get started living a sustainable lifestyle. No pressure. If today isn’t your day, we’ll be here waiting for you. However, if you are ready or even think you MIGHT be ready, please accept the challenge by clicking the button below.
